In 1990, amid the economic instability after the fall of Communism, newlyweds Nelli and Boris Popov left their beloved Bulgaria for the United States with just $100 in their pockets.

30 years later, their (very American) adult daughters ask to hear the story.

  • Andrea Popova

    EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

    Andrea Popova is a Content Creator and Producer with 7 years of experience in media and marketing. She runs a viral comedy show in NYC as well as a content studio that makes short form videos for CPG brands.

  • Ivana Savova

    ANIMATION DIRECTOR

    Ivana Savova is a director and animator from Sofia, Bulgaria. She holds a diploma in Animation and Illustration, a master’s in Narrative Animation from the Royal College of Art, and is currently pursuing an MFA degree in Directing Animation at the National Film and Television School.

    Most recently she has worked on the BAFTA nominated short film Visible Mending, as a production assistant at Framestore London and director's assistant at Eaglet Films on the BBC animated TV series Piripenguins, which premiered on BBC this Spring 2025.  

    She is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans stop-motion animation techniques, as well as 2D hand-drawn and digital media . 

  • Ariel Dreicer

    DIRECTOR / EDITOR

    Ariel Dreicer is a director and editor based in Brooklyn, NY. She is a self-taught, many-hats-type filmmaker who digs humorous, humanistic, and hybrid filmmaking. Her past credits include Gazer (Cannes Director’s Fortnight, Metrograph Pictures), Trundle and the Lost Borscht of Atlantis (Santa Barbara International Film Festival), and Bust (Sundance Film Festival).

  • Christos Andreou

    COMPOSER

    Christos Andreou is a London-based award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer whose music work spans film, television, theatre and advertising. His score for Langford Tales won Best Score at the Romford Film Festival 2023 and Best Original Music at the Eastern Europe Film Festival. He has composed music for international productions such as Die Wolf-Gäng (Sony Pictures), Rosamunde Pilcher (ZDF) and Wolfsland (ARD), with his music also featured on Netflix, BBC, ITV, Amazon Prime, HBO and more, as well as in campaigns for MINI, Barclays and HBO Go.

    Earlier credits include Barzakh (nominated for Best Original Score at the 2013 Corona Fastnet Film Festival), Meat Me in Plainville (Best Horror Film, Coney Island Film Festival 2012), and Eleven Fifty [11:50] (2nd Place, Cyprus Short Film Festival 2012). In 2017, he created the sonic branding for CyBC’s Channel 1 and 2 to mark its 60th anniversary, while continuing to write for theatre and multimedia projects alongside his screen work.
